We are looking for a Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager to join Summit State Bank team at our main administrative office.
The Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for the overall management, credit quality, and performance of the Bank's commercial loan portfolio, including direct management of an assigned portfolio of client relationships. In addition to individual portfolio responsibility, this role provides leadership across the broader commercial loan portfolio, partnering with Senior Relationship Managers and Credit to ensure consistent credit discipline, effective prioritization, and high-quality execution across all portfolio activities. The Senior Portfolio Manager serves as a senior point of judgment and accountability within the lending function, overseeing portfolio monitoring, renewal strategy, and workflow coordination. Working closely with the Senior Lending Associate and internal partners, this role ensures timely, accurate, and well-prioritized execution while maintaining a strong risk management framework. This role operates with a high degree of independence and is expected to influence portfolio management practices, workflow standards, and credit outcomes across the lending platform. Success in this role is measured by overall portfolio credit quality, effectiveness of risk identification and mitigation, execution consistency, and the ability to manage competing priorities across the lending function.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced financial analysis and credit skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make sound credit and workflow decisions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior management or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience handling complex credit relationships and portfolio management responsibilities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field; 10+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, and/ or portfolio management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range: $130,000 - $167,000/annually, plus incentive
