Job description

Team lead responsibility for ensuring bond and stock transactions settle by managing the Bloomberg AIM, DTCC CTM and ALERT systems, and coordinating with portfolio managers, brokers and custodians to resolve trade settlement failures across all managed portfolios.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the accounting department to achieve a smooth daily reconciliation and quarterly/year-end reporting process with minimal discrepancies.

Coordinate, track and report registered investment advisor material requests for compliance.

Work closely with accountants, actuaries, the Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts and Credit Analysts in the compilation of statistical reports and provide advanced investment administrator support in order to meet the needs of CE Investment Management.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Finance or IT; 4 years middle office and investment reporting experience acceptable in lieu of degree

  • 10 years experience; 5 years job-specific

  • Background in finance, accounting and middle office settlement operations

  • Strong understanding of security structures including corporate bonds, RMBS, CLOs, asset-backed securities and municipal bonds

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and Adobe (Acrobat Pro), and the ability to adapt to new technologies

  • Strong knowledge of investment portfolio analytics

  • Strong understanding of Bloomberg and Bloomberg AIM

  • Sound knowledge of investment/accounting systems such as PAM SS&C andFactSet

  • Basic knowledge of accounting and actuarial functions

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analysis and interpretation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills required

  • Administrative skills required

  • Ability to work efficiently within strict time constraints
