Role Summary

The Operations Analyst serves as a centralized analytical and process optimization resource supporting the Hospitality, Residential, Marketing, and People Operations teams, with approximately 75% of focus dedicated to the Hospitality portfolio. This role exists to make our operating divisions operable at scale by identifying operational improvement opportunities, making data-backed recommendations, and helping automate workflows across the organization.

This is a highly cross-functional, high-impact role designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, operations, systems, and strategy. The Operations Analyst will partner closely with senior leadership and functional teams to create performance visibility, improve operational effectiveness, and enable scalable growth.

Job Description

  • Create trusted, repeatable operational reporting for operations leadership
  • Redesign reporting and forecasting workflows to eliminate manual work
  • Interpret performance data and prepare leaders with insights
  • Define metric standards and reporting expectations across Hospitality and Corporate Support departments
  • Partner with the Data Analyst to ensure system outputs match operational needs
  • Support the “Clarity at Every Level” operating model

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality Operational Intelligence (~75%)

  • Own design and delivery of weekly and monthly reporting packages
  • Prepare performance insights for VPs and GMs ahead of reviews
  • Partner with Operations, Revenue, Marketing, and Finance to track performance drivers (KPIs)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and capital analysis efforts

Workflow and Reporting Design

  • Redesign how reports, forecasts, and scorecards are created and used
  • Eliminate manual data aggregation from leadership work
  • Create repeatable processes aligned to: Build > Test > Train > Refine
  • Reduce administrative burden across the portfolio

Leadership Insight and Interpretation

  • Define the data points and where source of truth lives
  • Support financial and performance review readiness
  • Translate reports into actionable recommendations
  • Improve consistency and transparency of reviews

Systems-to-Operations Bridge

  • Define reporting requirements for the Data Analyst
  • Document metric definitions and report usage
  • Ensure system outputs are usable and intuitive for operators
  • Partner with Systems, IT, and Business Solutions on workflow automation

Cross-Functional Support

  • Marketing performance and ROI reporting outputs
  • People Operations workforce and labor modeling outputs
  • Residential portfolio reporting support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Operations, or related field
  • 1 - 3+ years in operations analytics, financial analysis, or business intelligence
  • Advanced Excel / reporting tool expertise
  • Experience supporting multi-site or operationally complex organizations
  • Strong ability to interpret data and create usable tools for leaders
  • Experience improving workflows and reducing manual work
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills
  • Must reside within 15 miles of the Irvine office location

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hospitality, real estate, or multi-unit operations experience
  • Exposure to Power BI / Tableau (as a user, not a developer)
  • Experience working with PMS, accounting, HR, and marketing systems
  • Process improvement or Lean mindset
