Position Overview

Portfolio Transaction Analysts support portfolio managers and investment teams by executing and monitoring transactions across portfolios while ensuring alignment with investment objectives, risk limits, and operational requirements. The role combines execution support, transaction analysis, and portfolio monitoring in a fast-paced investment environment.

These roles typically involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, traders, operations teams, compliance, and risk management functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of portfolio-level transactions, including trades, rebalances, and portfolio adjustments

  • Coordinate transaction workflows across portfolio managers, traders, operations, and counterparties

  • Ensure transactions are accurately captured, confirmed, and settled in accordance with portfolio guidelines

  • Analyze transaction costs, execution quality, and post-trade outcomes at the portfolio level

  • Assist with portfolio rebalancing, cash management, and implementation of investment decisions

  • Monitor portfolio exposures, positions, and compliance with investment mandates

  • Prepare transaction summaries, portfolio activity reports, and execution analysis for portfolio managers

  • Identify execution inefficiencies, operational issues, or process improvement opportunities

  • Support audits, reconciliations, and regulatory or internal reporting related to portfolio transactions


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of portfolio management, transaction lifecycles, and financial markets

  • Experience or coursework in trading, portfolio operations, or investment management (preferred)

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, SQL, or portfolio management systems is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in time-sensitive environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
