Job Description
LIM is looking for an experienced Operations Professional to deliver exceptional back-office support for our fixed income and equity portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing relationships with custodians, counterparties, and service providers; effectively managing and resolving escalated issues; and sharing expertise across teams. A good understanding of complex fixed income instruments and securities markets is essential for this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the Portfolio Operations team in the timely and accurate execution of daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks, including:
    • Reconciling cash and positions with custodians and prime brokers; investigating discrepancies.
    • Maintaining accurate accounting records (security setups, payments, factor updates, SPOs, corporate actions, and cashflows).
    • Processing and monitoring trade activity, confirmations, and settlements; coordinating with custodians and brokers.
    • Ensuring accurate pricing and performance data for timely investment reporting.
  • Own and resolve operational issues, escalating appropriately with awareness of internal and external impacts.
  • Provide expertise on complex accounting matters (e.g., corporate actions, reorgs, offshore withholding, performance), coordinating with service providers and internal teams.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems; understand data flows and troubleshoot issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and support automation.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Experience in portfolio operations with strong knowledge of fixed income, equities, FX, and global markets.
  • Skilled in Excel; familiar with Bloomberg, DTCC, and tools like VBA, SQL, Python, Power BI (a plus).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven team contributor and cross-trainer; works well with IT and external partners.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
