G&A Solutions Engineering (GSE) is IS&T's dedicated technology partner for Apple's general and administrative functions - including people, finance, facilities, legal, and security. The team builds and delivers integrated technology solutions that keep these functions running efficiently and securely at global scale. GSE also works closely with business teams to develop custom tools that improve productivity and deliver greater automation and consistency across G&A operations at Apple.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager of Portfolio Delivery & Operations to play a critical role in driving strategy and execution across a complex, cross-functional portfolio set.
This is an exciting position essential to the successful delivery of projects and to operational excellence across G&A solutions engineering applications globally. In this role, you will be at the heart of how we plan, deliver, and continuously improve the programs and operations that power our teams. Own end-to-end portfolio delivery across multiple concurrent programs, driving accountability, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Partner with senior leadership to drive annual and quarterly planning cycles, translating organizational priorities into executable roadmaps, milestones, and resource plans
Define, implement, and continuously improve PMO processes, governance frameworks, and delivery standards that create consistency and scale across teams and programs
Establish and maintain intake, prioritization, and capacity planning frameworks that enable disciplined portfolio management and ensure the organization is investing in the right work at the right time
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and escalations across the portfolio; develop mitigation strategies and drive timely resolution before issues impact delivery commitments
Develop and maintain portfolio-level dashboards, metrics, and executive status reporting that synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for all levels of the organization
Manage budgets and resource forecasts across multiple teams; partner with finance and senior leadership to track actuals, flag variances early, and optimize allocation across the portfolio
Serve as a trusted partner and single point of accountability for portfolio health, delivery commitments, and escalation paths; build strong working relationships across engineering, product, operations, legal, and finance
Influence without direct authority across engineering, operations, and senior management, driving alignment and decisions through credibility, structured communication, and collaborative problem-solving
Champion operational excellence across both the PMO and portfolio delivery functions, continuously raising the bar on delivery predictability, team efficiency, and organizational maturity
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; equally effective in a working session with engineers as in an executive business review
Background in IT planning & operations, enterprise systems, or platform/product delivery
Familiarity with financial planning processes, including budget forecasting and variance analysis
Experience building or maturing a PMO or delivery operations function
PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or technical operations, with at least 3 years leading cross-functional delivery at scale
2+ years of managing project managers.
Strong organizational skills; proven track record owning a portfolio of concurrent programs with competing priorities, complex dependencies, and diverse stakeholders
Experience synthesizing large datasets and ambiguous inputs into executive-ready summaries and recommendations
Experience managing budgets, resource plans, and headcount forecasts across multiple teams
Experience working with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies; able to flex and adapt based on team and program needs
Experience in a technology company managing portfolios that span both software delivery and operational or infrastructure workstreams
Experience and strong proficiency with project and portfolio management tools
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,700 and $276,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
