We’re looking for a dependable Service Technician to inspect, maintain, repair, and install Porta Kleen sanitation equipment in both shop and field environments. In this hands-on role, you'll help ensure restroom, shower, and sleeper trailers remain safe, reliable, and ready to meet customer needs through quality workmanship and exceptional service.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Mechanical aptitude with plumbing and electrical systems, including troubleshooting PEX, Schedule 40/80 plumbing, and 110V/12V electrical components.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and install restroom, shower, and sleeper trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and installations using PEX and Schedule 40/80 piping systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair LP gas systems and 110V/12V electrical components.
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections to identify and resolve equipment issues before failures occur.
  • Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and compliance with company quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs, parts usage, and equipment status.
  • Operate service vehicles and tow trailers while following DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
  • Load, unload, stage, and secure equipment to support efficient transportation and daily operations.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain shop tools, service vehicles, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Respond professionally to customer service requests while representing Porta Kleen in a positive manner.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, service instructions, and repair documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and DOT medical card with the ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
  • Mechanical experience with plumbing, electrical, or equipment repair preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and perform frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and repetitive motion throughout 8–12-hour shifts.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around industrial noise, LP gas systems, sanitation waste, and cleaning chemicals while wearing required PPE.
  • Willingness to travel between job sites and work extended shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
  • Must provide personal hand tools necessary to perform routine repair and maintenance tasks.
