Job description

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing janitorial services in accordance with all contractual requirements for the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry. Ensures all assigned areas remain clean, sanitary, safe, and presentable for federal personnel and the public.

WORKING HOURS: 7:30 PM TO 4:30 AM

WORKING DAYS: Full availability (Days are assigned by manager)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cleaning and servicing private restrooms, holding cells, lunchrooms, interior inspection booths, and offices across all departments.
  • Dust-mopping designated areas and performing spot cleaning as needed.
  • Collecting and disposing of solid waste in accordance with site procedures.
  • Vacuuming all carpeted areas and dusting furniture and fixtures.
  • Cleaning interior and exterior glass surfaces.
  • Replenishing restroom and supply dispensers as required.
  • Policing all assigned areas to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
  • Other duties may be assigned by supervisor or manager to meet contract requirements.
