Job description

The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) business provides efficient, customizable, and sustainable liquefaction solutions, combining proven technology with decades of experience in LNG equipment manufacture and operation.  LNG's equipment is designed by our engineering organization and fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international third-party facilities. Our customers utilize this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, significantly enhancing its transportability as an energy source to end users globally.
 

The Document Controller role will be in based in our Honeywell LNG Headquarters located in Allentown, PA.  You will be part of the Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) organization which is responsible for mechanical engineering and fabrication of vessels, piping, structures, and control and I&E systems, but you will support the entire LNG business.  The role will be managed day-to-day by the Honeywell LNG Allentown Quality Engineer.
 

This role will focus on LNG's internal and external communication and document sharing processes, ensuring effective tracking, delivery, and reporting of deliverables between LNG teams, customers, and suppliers.  You will collaborate across all of Honeywell LNG's functional teams to develop, maintain, and train others as a power user of work processes, information storage software and platforms, intellectual property protections, and associated Key Performance Indicators.  The successful candidate will support LNG projects and bids so that stakeholders and leadership are proactively made aware of potential schedule and budget risks associated with deliverable creation and review.
 

The position will require domestic travel to other Honeywell sites.
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage deliverables templates and project-specific tracking lists for all project disciplines.
    Via active tracking and audits, ensure on-time completion of deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Proposal Management, Project Management, and Project Controls/ Scheduling to monitor bid/project progress and proactively identify risks.
  • Expedite LNG team deliverable reviews and responses, both internally and with external parties including customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue transmittals between Allentown LNG disciplines and external parties.
  • Track on-time submittal of supplier documents versus purchase order requirements.
  • Consolidate and prepare technical requisition packages for major project equipment purchases.
  • Serve as lead/power user for the LNG Document Management System (DMS).
  • Contribute to development and troubleshooting of DMS platform functionality via reviews and testing.
  • Receive training from Honeywell IT and platform owners, cascade that training to LNG users, and support roll-out of platform functions and updates.
  • Serve as lead/power user for other internal Honeywell platforms such as legal database, management of change system, nonconformance system, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge libraries and technical references for LNG disciplines.
    Ensure compliance with document review and approval requirements.
  • Provide data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Document Management Systems and work processes
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in professional administration or a business support function.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage multiple projects, a high quantity of documents, and multiple stakeholders in parallel and in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage tracking lists and dashboards for clear communication of project status.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
