Job description

Description:

Pop! Promos is looking for a Business Development Representative to drive new business growth by prospecting, opening doors, and turning non-ordering contacts into loyal clients. We're looking for someone who is equal parts hunter and relationship-builder, who treats every cold contact as a future client, and who wants to build their own book of business inside one of the fastest-growing suppliers in the promotional products industry.

This is a true ground-floor opportunity. The BDR role is designed as a launchpad into a full Account Executive seat at Pop!. You’ll build the skills, relationships, and track record that set you up to own a book of business and advance your career. If you love the chase, get energy from a full day of calls, and want a clear path to grow into a sales role, this is the seat for you.

Pop! Promos is one of the fastest-growing suppliers in the $25 billion promotional products industry. We create on trend, full color promotional products that help brands stand out and connect with their audiences. Voted one of PPAI's 2025 “Greatest Companies to Work For” in our industry, we pride ourselves on our great company culture and strong values, propelled by our ambitious and forward-thinking team.

At Pop! Promos, we enjoy the flexibility of our hybrid policy, providing two work-from-home days a week!

What You'll Do:

Own territory and non-ordering contacts: This role is focused on non-ordering contacts and territory accounts, not managing an existing book. Build and execute a Quarterly Strategic Plan for your assigned accounts, owning the revenue growth strategy that turns non-ordering contacts into future clients. Hit your AP/KPI metrics, including leads, contacts, first time ordering contacts, business conversations, virtuals requested, and samples.

Prospect with purpose: Make a high volume of outbound calls every day, running call blitzes, follow-up emails, and meaningful business conversations that introduce Pop!'s value proposition. Organize client webinars alongside Marketing and uncover the short-term projects that turn into long-term clients.

Build real relationships: Get to know your clients' end users, challenges, and needs well enough to personalize every outreach. Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts, supporting product selection, virtual output, and sampling along the way.

Collaborate across the team: Partner closely with Client Success, Marketing, and Production to support quote requests, fulfillment projects, and production timelines, routing the right requests to the right Pop! experts along the way.

Keep the data clean: Log every sales activity in Sugar CRM per SOPs, keep your opportunities and tasks current, and review your pipeline regularly with consistent follow-up on open opportunities.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, preferably in a B2B sales environment
  • Demonstrated resilience and creativity generating pipeline and cultivating interest where there's little-to-no existing demand
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Pricing, and Client Success
  • A self-starter who can problem-solve autonomously
  • Competitive, goal-oriented, and energized by hitting (and beating) a number
  • Curious, social, and customer-oriented, you love connecting with people
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Competitive base salary plus commission, commensurate with experience and market
  • Comprehensive benefit package including health insurance, dental and vision, STD and LTD, company paid life insurance, and a retirement plan with company match
  • Hybrid work environment, paid time off, and company holidays
  • Frequent company-sponsored team activities
  • Clear path to grow into a full Account Executive role, with real mentorship and a team that invests in your development
  • Exceptional career advancement opportunities
  • Fun, dog friendly office
  • Summer Fridays

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
