The Four Seasons Resort Lāna'i is looking for a Pool Host/ess who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Pool Host/ess delivers attentive, personalized poolside service by welcoming guests, managing seating, and providing amenities such as towels, refreshments, and sunscreen. This role monitors guest needs, maintains accurate guest preferences, and ensures a seamless, comfortable experience through courteous and professional service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Welcome guests and provide attentive poolside service, including orientation, seating, towels, refreshments, and amenity offerings such as oshibori and sun care

  • Manage host stand operations by handling reservations, greeting and seating guests, answering calls, and coordinating seating arrangements using reservation systems

  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of pool areas and seating sections, ensuring spaces are properly set and guest-ready at all times

  • Develop strong knowledge of menus and offerings, anticipate guest needs, respond to inquiries, and personalize service by recognizing guest preferences and repeat visitors

WHAT TO BRING
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States

  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card

  • Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
