POSITION TITLE: PKB Bartender


JOB SUMMARY: Stocks bar. Mixes and serves beverages to members and guests and maintains a clean and orderly bar.


WORK PERFORMED:

1. Mix and serve beverages to order and make appropriate charges to member's account.

2. Prepare drinks for server to serve and /or serves directly to members and their guests.

3. Responsible for taking cocktail or food order at bar and at member's table when needed.

4. Maintain a sanitary condition in all bar areas at all times; strict adherence to cleaning opening and closing checklist.

5. Responsible for collecting all glassware sent to kitchen for cleaning.

6. Set up bar at the beginning of each shift; responsibility for requisitioning fruit from kitchen and stocking such items as beverage napkins, match books, straws, picks, clean bar towels, etc.

7. Stock bar, rotate inventory and report any shortage to supervisor immediately.

8. Responsible for the safe handling of all club equipment to minimize damage.

9. Responsible for taking daily inventory of liquors, beer.

10. Polish all glassware .

11. Responsible for a neat and orderly appearance at all times. Must be in proper uniform when punching in.

12. Responsible for set-up of fruits and juices for portable bars. Keep reach-in and walk-in cooler in service area clean and organized and all product properly rotated.

13. Perform tableside wine service according to ICC Standards.

14. Report maintenance issues to Supervisor.

15. Transport beer, kegs, and wine from the Main Kitchen to the PK&B walk-in cooler.

16. Responsible for completing & totaling all bar tickets and return of all tickets to closing supervisor.

17. Responsible for filling out requisition for liquor at the end of shift and turning in to closing supervisor.

18. Lock beer taps and all cabinets at end of shift.

19. Responsible for alerting supervisor to potential problems with underage drinking or a persons over consumption of alcohol.

20. Responsible for reading, understanding and adhering to the Club Bylaws and Rules, as necessary.

21. Report member complaints and any rule infraction to his/her immediate supervisor, as well as compliments .

22. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

2. May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.

3. Requires occasional bending, reaching, stretching.

4. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

5. May be required to carry and balance loaded tray.

6. Must be capable of working under pressure.

7. Must be able to work in a team environment.

8. Must be 18 years of age or older.
