Pentair is currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager, Pool to join our team at our location in Golden Valley, MN. As a key financial leader in the $1.5+ billion revenue segment of Pentair, the individual in this role will drive profitable growth by partnering with leadership across the commercial functions in the segment. The scope of this role includes planning and analysis for the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service functions. In addition, this individual will lead the Pool segment’s strategic pricing efforts.

You will:

  • Be a valued and integral part of our global organization, engaging with various levels of leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of direct reports
  • Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, including all areas of revenue and discount waterfall
  • Lead the annual strategic value-based pricing process and partner with the ERP team to find new efficiencies in our pricing procedures
  • Assist in the gathering, maintaining and application of competitive price analysis
  • Develop financial models and forecasts for major actions including price realization
  • Ensure timely and accurate implementation of all price increase actions
  • Be a business partner for the Pool VP of Sales, Chief Marketing Officer and Sr. Director of Customer Service
  • Lead operating expense budgeting and forecasting processes for commercial functions including Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
  • Define return on investment measures for strategic growth investments
  • Develop financial models and forecasts for sales growth strategies
  • Establish measurement and tracking processes for our Pool Sales Funnel initiative
  • Develop reporting to assist our field sales team in growing the business while increasing profitability
  • Actively support Pentair’s data analytics initiative by becoming knowledgeable in the use of necessary reporting/visualization tools and contribute to dashboard development and data validation
  • Support the Pool Sales Incentive Program by analyzing targets and creating sales projection models
  • Partner with the compensation team to improve incentive processes and validate achievement as necessary
  • Special projects as required to support both segment and business unit-level activities

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with Finance or Accounting major; MBA, CMA, or CPA desirable
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, or Controllership
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Thorough understanding of general accepted accounting principles and financial/business processes
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with OneStream, Cognos, and/or PowerBI
  • Experience working with SAP S4 Hana strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, with ability to complete necessary analytical reports and provide written commentary and interpretation
  • Forward thinker and problem solver with excellent strategic and tactical planning skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under a tight deadline
  • Continuous improvement mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving
