Excellent observational skills, clear communication, and a calm, approachable demeanor help Pool Monitors effectively interact with guests and handle incidents. These competencies ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all patrons and help prevent accidents or pool-related emergencies.
As a Pool Monitor, your primary duties include observing swimmers to ensure safety, enforcing pool rules, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. You may assist guests by answering questions about facility policies and sometimes perform basic water-quality checks or minor cleaning tasks. Collaboration with lifeguards, facility managers, and housekeeping staff is common to ensure smooth daily operations. Pool Monitors also document incidents or hazards and may help coordinate emergency responses if needed. This role is key in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all pool users.
A Pool Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of a swimming pool area. Their duties typically include enforcing pool rules, monitoring swimmers for any signs of distress, checking water quality, and maintaining a tidy environment. While they do not always require lifeguard certification, they must remain vigilant and report any issues to management or emergency responders if needed.

We are seeking a seasonal Pool Monitor to join our Walled Lake Villa team in Walled Lake, MI who takes pride in their work and is detail oriented. This position starts in June and goes through Labor Day weekend. The ideal candidate will be dependable and strive to create happy residents through providing superior customer service and a visually appealing and safe pool area. Responsibilities of the pool monitor include but are not limited to: ensuring the safety of persons using the swimming pool, maintaining a clean pool area, observing all COVID protocols as required by the Health Department, and following proper procedures for opening and closing the pool.
