Job description

Overview

The Pool Monitor is charged with the responsibility to ensure that the pool facility is operated in a safe manner and that all policies and procedures associated with the pool operations are met.

*This position is Saturday and Sunday only rom 10am-9pm*


Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, deck area, rest rooms and adjacent areas.
  • Open and close the pool facility in accordance with the predetermined schedule and start up/shut down procedures.
  • Ensure that all pool rules, policies and procedures are followed and that access to the pool is limited to the residents of the community.
  • Perform routine maintenance and service on the pool, adjacent facilities and equipment.  This will include:
    • Check chlorine at the edge of the pool. Adjust accordingly.
    • Fill chlorinator tank.
    • Vacuum pool.
    • Backwash filter daily.
    • Clean restrooms, including toilets, showers, floors and sinks.
    • Clean deck, towels, cigarette butts, paper, etc.
    • Fill baby pool, if necessary; hose off deck area.
    • Check pH and chlorine in both pools. If necessary, add chlorine. Do not add acid.
    • Pick up litter around the pool area.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability or experience in pool maintenance desirable.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
