Position Summary
Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club is seeking an energetic, service-oriented Pool Attendant & Server to provide an exceptional member and guest experience at our
pool facilities. This position combines luxury hospitality with food and beverage service, ensuring our members enjoy attentive, personalized service in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is personable, proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys working outdoors while delivering high-end service in a private club setting.
Essential Responsibilities
Member Experience & Hospitality
  • Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to members and guests.
  • Greet members by name whenever possible and anticipate their needs.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the club's service standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to member requests and concerns.
  • Maintain a positive, polished, and professional appearance at all times.

Pool Operations

  • Set up, organize, and maintain the pool deck before opening.
  • Arrange, clean, and sanitize lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables, and pool furniture throughout the day.
  • Manage towel inventory, distribution, collection, and laundering procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee lounge chair reservations according to club policy.
  • Keep the pool deck clean by removing towels, trash, dishes, and debris throughout the shift.
  • Ensure all pool amenities remain stocked and presentable.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Provide attentive poolside food and beverage service.
  • Accurately enter orders into the club's Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Operate within a cashless club environment, charging all purchases directly to member accounts.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
  • Monitor member satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work for pool food service.

Food Safety & Sanitation

  • Follow all food handling, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and beverage areas.
  • Ensure food is delivered safely and at appropriate temperatures.
  • Practice proper handwashing, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention.
  • Report any food safety concerns immediately.

Safety & Facility Oversight

  • Maintain a safe pool environment by monitoring general pool deck conditions.
  • Enforce club policies respectfully and professionally.
  • Immediately report hazards, spills, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions.
  • Assist during emergencies following club emergency procedures.
  • Administer basic first aid when appropriate and summon emergency assistance when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, restaurant, resort, country club, or pool service experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Required Certifications

  • Current CPR Certification
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

  • Experience with POS systems.
