The Job

As a Pool Attendant, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with guests from all over the world while enjoying the sunshine and views of the Pacific Ocean. Our Pool team proudly showcases the hotel, its amenities, and its surroundings while creating a warm, welcoming, and polished poolside experience.


This is a highly visible guest-facing role that directly impacts each guest's visit to the pool. The Pool Attendant has the opportunity to create memorable moments through genuine hospitality, thoughtful service, and attention to detail.


The Pool Attendant is responsible for engaging with pool guests to ensure they have all needed amenities 

and supplies, assisting with lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, cabanas, and general poolside needs. This role also supports the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the pool deck, including the setup and maintenance of umbrellas, chairs, towels, cabanas, towel stations, water stations, menus, and other guest amenities.


In addition, the Pool Attendant supports the poolside Food & Beverage operation by assisting servers with bussing needs, including clearing used glassware, plates, silverware, trays, trash, and resetting guest areas in a timely and polished manner. This position helps maintain clean and organized guest and service areas throughout the day while supporting a seamless luxury resort experience


  Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage with guests in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Ensure guests have all needed poolside amenities, supplies, and assistance throughout their visit.
  • Assist guests with lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, cabanas, and general poolside needs.
  • Set up and maintain the pool area, including placement and straightening of umbrellas, chairs, towels, cabanas, menus, and guest amenities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, cabanas, seating areas, towel areas, service stations, and surrounding guest spaces.
  • Ensure towels, water, menus, and poolside amenities are fully stocked, clean, and attractively presented.
  • Support cabana reservations and cabana setups, including food and beverage amenities, special packages, and guest requests.
  • Assist pool servers and Food & Beverage team members with bussing needs, including clearing used glassware, plates, silverware, trays, trash, and resetting guest areas.
  • Help maintain clean and organized service areas by removing used items, restocking supplies, and supporting the overall flow of poolside service.
  • Monitor the pool area to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and relaxing environment for all guests.
  • Communicate guest needs, maintenance issues, safety concerns, or service opportunities to the appropriate manager or department.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, restaurant offerings, pool menus, daily activations, events, and local information to assist guests confidently.
  • Work closely with pool servers, bartenders, food runners, culinary, housekeeping, engineering, and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Follow all hotel service standards, safety procedures, cleanliness expectations, and pool policies.
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and uphold luxury hospitality standards at all times.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational goals.
