About the Role
In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, leading scheduled appointments and taking the time to understand their needs, goals, and vision. Rather than a transactional approach, you'll guide customers through available options, provide thoughtful recommendations, and help them make informed decisions with confidence. By focusing on education, transparency, and long-term relationships, you'll deliver solutions that create value for the customer while driving successful outcomes for the business.
General Summary of Position
Responsible for running assigned appointments and meeting with potential customers to accomplish the ultimate objective of successfully closing a sale; generating positive profitability; and exceeding customer expectations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Meet with customers to present and explain Anthony & Sylvan pool renovation options, backyard offerings, and services; assess customer needs and create designs or product recommendations using design software and professional sales techniques
  • Conduct timely follow-up after initial customer meetings until the renovation is sold or the opportunity is closed, presenting company marketing and sales materials in a structured manner
  • Run all sales appointments as assigned by the Lead Manager and coordinate availability and scheduling needs accordingly
  • Collaborate with Customer Care and Operations teams to ensure consistent, aligned communication and a seamless customer experience
  • Utilize Retail Cost Breakdown (RCB) methodology and standard pricing tools to determine customer pricing; partner with the Director of Sales Operations for bid pricing outside established guidelines
  • Participate in marketing activities including seminars, trade shows, telemarketing events, and local networking to generate leads and referral relationships
  • Prepare and maintain required sales reports, including activity, follow-up, closings, and goal adherence, and assist with the development of local marketing efforts and sales collateral
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Years of Experience
Three plus years successful B to C sales experience required
Prior swimming pool experience required
Landscaping Design including design software experience strongly desired
Required Skills & Abilities
Microsoft Office; proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Working knowledge of CRM software.
Swimming pool build and service knowledge a plus
Customer service orientated
Works well under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and spoken
Strong negotiating skills to persuade and influence others
Participates and works well in a team-based environment

Must be committed and willing to put in the necessary time to be successful
Able to work nights and weekends
Must be comfortable being compensated under a 100% commission pay structure after an initial period on salary
