POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pool Monitor is responsible for a clean and safe amenity environment for our residents to enjoy. This is a part-time temporary position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure that residents are using their lanyards to enter the pool area. These will be ordered and handed out by the property staff in the leasing office once the pool rules are signed. If a key or key card is needed to enter the pool area, one will be given by the property staff once the pool rules are signed.
  • Make sure that there is only one guest per occupant of each home (everyone listed on the lease can bring one friend). A rent roll will be provided weekly by the office staff.
  • Make sure that each resident and guest sign a liability waiver form before entering. These should be signed in order for the resident to receive the lanyard.
  • Make sure that all participants are obeying pool rules posted in the pool area. In the event there is a disruption, the Pool Monitor calls 911 to get the police to respond to situations that escalate beyond normal corrective requests.
  • Skim debris from the pool.
  • Lock up the pool area at closing time each evening.
  • Remove trash from the pool area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to control a crowd.
  • Demonstrate mature and responsible judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and resolve conflict.
  • A personal cell phone is required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2 years of swimming pool maintenance is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; climb and balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
