Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Swimming Pool Construction Foreman to lead our field operations. As the primary on-site supervisor, this person will bridge the gap between project management and physical execution, directing a crew through every stage of in-ground pool construction--shot-crete, fiberglass & vinyl liner--from initial layout and excavation to final finishing. The ideal candidate is a player-coach who takes pride in craftsmanship while maintaining high standards for safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crew Leadership: Supervise, train and mentor a crew of 2-4 workers, delegating daily tasks and monitoring work quality
  • Site Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of shot-crete, fiberglass or vinyl liner in-ground pool builds, including site prep, excavation, plumbing and structural framing, as well as, the coordination of personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Construction Execution: Lead and participate in critical phases such as site layout, excavation, plumbing/hydraulics, structural steel installation, and concrete finishing.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards and local building codes to maintain a safe, hazard-free environment.
  • Project Oversight: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately; report progress regularly to Project Managers and clients.
  • Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, track inventory, and ensure the proper use and maintenance of heavy machinery like excavators and skid-steers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years in in-ground pool construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman capacity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to read blueprints, understand hydraulic systems, and calculate precise site measurements.
  • Equipment Mastery: Expert-level operation of excavators, loaders, and other heavy construction machinery.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to resolve on-site conflicts and motivate a diverse team.
  • Physical Capability: Must be able to work in extreme weather and lift up to 100 lbs as needed.
  • Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a clean record is required & minimum Chauffers C License
  • Preferred: OSHA 10/30 certification or CDL Class A license.
