About the Role:
Position: Full-Time Technician (32-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, day shifts)
Location: Start and end each workday in South Austin
Pay: $18-$20 per hour + benefits (see pay structure below)
As a Pool Scouts Technician, you'll:
  • Provide cleaning and maintenance for residential swimming pools
  • Build relationships with our customers through professional service
  • Drive a company-issued vehicle to service appointments
  • Use technology (smartphone/tablet) to log services and route info
  • Perform minor pool equipment repairs
  • Represent the Pool Scouts brand with pride and professionalism

Please Note:
You must have reliable transportation to reach our shop in South Austin. We've found that long commutes from north of mid-downtown Austin can be frustrating-please consider this before applying.

Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work in hot outdoor conditions for extended periods
  • Can lift and carry 50+ pounds
  • Have a personal smartphone with data for work-related use
  • Comfortable using a tablet or phone for apps and service tracking
  • Willingness to obtain a CPO certification (we'll help!)

Compensation & Growth:
Paid Training
$18/hour
First 2-3 weeks with trainer and 1-2 solo with feedback
Solo Technician
$19/hour
After full training (above) and with reliable work
Performance-Based Raise
$20/hour
After 6 months total, based on review
