Job description

The role of a Commercial Pool Techician/Maintenance Supervisor is to manage the customer's pool per the SPMC contract with the customer as well as maintaining the facility within the codes of the local county health department. Maintenance Supervisors are directly responsible for the pools assigned to them in their territory and will service them on a given schedule throughout the pool season. Maintenance Supervisors act as the point people for making sure that all operational aspects of the customer contracts are met to the customer's satisfaction. Salary $46,600 - $60,000

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a safe, healthy pool environment in accordance with all local and state health department codes.
  • Maintain open and direct communication with local health department officials as it pertains to our customers' facilities.
  • Maintain open and direct communication with SPMC customers, board of directors, and property management staff.
  • Operating the customers' facilities in accordance with their contract with SPMC.
  • Arrive on time to work each day and to any schedule appointment.
  • Arrive in clean, proper uniform and with appealing physical appearance.
  • Pulling, folding, and professionally storing the customers' covers according to their instructions.
  • Setting out and thoroughly cleaning customer's pool furniture.
  • Inspecting that all pool equipment is operating properly and meet's local and national health code requirements.
  • Communicating in a timely fashion with the customer, either directly or via office staff, any repairs, parts, or renovations that need to be done to make the pool environment either meet code, operate more smoothly, or make the operation more efficient.
  • Maintaining proper water chemistry in accordance with local and national health codes.
  • Vacuum pool, clean skimmer baskets, straighten furniture, blow debris, and clean tiles each visit or as needed.
  • Ensuring all proper and necessary signage and equipment in regards to safety is installed correctly.
  • Fill out pool log sheets each visit.
  • Order and maintain proper chemical storage levels.
  • Properly train new Maintenance Assistants.
  • Respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours, emergencies must be responded within the hour.
  • Assist Staffing Manager and Regional Manager to train lifeguards at facilities to properly train them on what their responsibilities at the pool should be, when they should do them, and how they should be done.
  • Be able to do simple repairs to pool equipment.
  • Ensure facility is a secure environment for patrons and children.
  • Remove trash from pool area and restrooms and take it to the designated trash pick-up location on the appropriate trash pick-up date.
  • Make sure all pool restrooms are fully stocked, are clean, and are pleasing to pool patrons.
  • Manage assigned routes and visit pools according to schedule. Deviations to the schedule must be approved and communicated to the customer.
  • Perform all necessary duties upon each service visit to the pool.
  • Maintain company truck in regards to appearance, driver/passenger safety, and routine maintenance.
  • Maintain all company assigned equipment, proper use of equipment, and secure it properly when not in use.
  • All other duties as needed to complete the job required per the customer's contract.
