Job description

We are looking for experienced bartenders to join the Zota Beach Resort. The Pool Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to resort guests in a fast-paced outdoor pool environment. This role prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivers friendly and engaging guest experiences, and ensures compliance with all food safety and alcohol service regulations. The Pool Bartender maintains a clean, organized, and inviting bar area while promoting resort amenities and contributing to a relaxing, enjoyable atmosphere for guests. Success in this position requires excellent customer service skills, product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently during peak periods while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to resort standards.
  • Provide outstanding guest service and create a welcoming poolside experience.
  • Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws.
  • Accurately process orders, handle payments, and maintain cash accountability.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar and surrounding service areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking and replenishing supplies.
  • Work closely with pool servers, food runners, and other resort team members to ensure timely service.
  • Promote resort food, beverage, and special event offerings to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a resort, hotel, beach club, or high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must meet legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages and obtain required certifications.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a warm outdoor environment and maintain a high level of energy throughout the shift.
