Job description

RMB Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician who is responsible for maintaining each piece of equipment and its components in good working condition for its intended purpose, and ensuring the facilities are maintained and improvements are made. They perform preventative maintenance that lessens the cost of replacing damaged equipment and maintains the output of said machine. In addition, their contributions will ensure a safe working environment for themselves and co-workers.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Regularly inspect and service machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize equipment downtime or replacement costs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC issues.
  • Rebuild powertrain components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
  • Diagnose, design, and install electrical components.
  • Utilize plumbing skills for installation and repair of systems involving valves, fittings, and soldered piping.
  • Perform welding (ARC, MIG, TIG, brazing) as required.
  • Safely operate forklifts, man-lifts, cranes, and rigging equipment.
  • Use various hand tools proficiently.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all by adhering to safety protocols and practices


Job Specifications:


Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Years’ Experience:  Minimum of one year of experience

Skills:

  • Proven mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience in diagnosing and rebuilding mechanical systems, including powertrain equipment and gearboxes, preferred.
  • Proficient in single-phase and three-phase electrical systems (A/C and D/C, 10-480 volts), including installation, design, and maintenance, preferred.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic, and PLCs; capable of basic circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical system sizing and load calculations (voltage, amperage, and wiring.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Competent in plumbing installation and repair, including identification of fittings, valves, piping, threading, and soldering.
  • Proficient in various welding techniques, including ARC, MIG, TIG, and brazing.
  • Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Experienced in general facility maintenance and repair.
  • Certified or experienced in operating forklifts, man-lifts, cranes, and rigging equipment.
  • Requires both verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and techniques of RMB Products.
  • This role is on-site and requires 5+ days per week on-site.
