Job description

Under the direction of the Manager IT Service Delivery, the Audio Visual Spec III position will be responsible for providing quality live audio/video and computer support services for events, meetings, conferences, classes, and broadcasts to Valleywise Health's Board of Directors, Governing Councils, general meetings, in-house, and community events. The technician will provide user assistance and training with the operation of multimedia systems and will interact with Valleywise Health staff and guests. The technician will also conduct regular inspections of existing audiovisual equipment; perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex audiovisual hardware problems and implement corrective solutions.
Annual Salary Rate: $58.406.40 - $86,153.80
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a High School diploma or GED.
  • An Associate degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of (4) years of set up and working knowledge of audiovisual equipment or comparable technology experience
  • CTS or CTS-I (required)
  • Experience in installing and configuring auditorium/meeting room A/V systems, but not limited to:
    • Computer Audio to room speakers
    • Computer video to projector/Large monitor
    • Computers/Polycom in conference rooms
    • MRM display monitors; Confidence monitors; projection displays, screens
    • Cabling
    • Teleconferencing equipment
    • Mood media on-hold hardware
    • App-video server
    • YoDeck hardware
    • Internal video systems that loop on in-house TVs
    • Future patient educational systems that will integrate with Epic
    • Psych TV systems
    • Public address and intercommunication systems
    • Amplifiers, mixers, microphones
    • Electronic whiteboards (SMART, Promethean)
    • Universal remote/control hubs
    • A/V closet and rack build-out

Specialized Training:
  • The desired candidate should be experienced in all phases of the audiovisual world - audio, visual, lighting, video, scenic, etc.
  • Candidate should be comfortable attending to the design, set-up, tear down, and troubleshooting of all A/V equipment, computers, and accessories.

Certifications/Licensure:
  • Required: One year or more AV Tech healthcare setting/hospital AV Tech experience or four years of AV experience can substitute for CTS upon hire. CTS is required within 6 - 12 months of the date of hire.
  • Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid AZ issued driver's license in good standing, and must carry the AZ legally required minimum insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times.
  • This position requires operation of a vehicle. Employment is contingent upon meeting the driving eligibility standards outlined in the Valleywise Health Vehicle Use Policy (VUP).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have a working knowledge of appropriate audio/visual software and equipment audio, visual, projection, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and maintain audiovisual equipment and accessories.
  • Must have excellent e-mail and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires a high degree of customer service skills.
  • Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products - specifically PowerPoint and Cisco Webex
  • Requires ability to work on heights (ladders).
  • Requires flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule and/or business needs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
