Program Overview
Sequel Youth and Family Services of Tuskegee,is an intensive residential treatmentfacility providing an array of gender specific, evidenced based and traumainformed services for male, ages 12-18, with serious and/or chronic emotionaland/or behavioral management problems that interfere with the child's abilityto function in the family, school and/or community setting outside of aresidential environment.
Overview
The intern studies and learns how toeffectively provide individual, family, and group therapy as well as casemanagement services within a residential treatment environment. Positionrequires professional communication and liaison with parents, referral sources,and other treatment professionals. This position consists of interactingdirectly with adolescents with defiant behavior and oppositional conductdisorders.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess a validinternship requirement from their university to obtain their Bachelors orMasters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or closely relatedclinical field. A minimum of 21 years of age or older isrequired. A clean criminal background, and valid drivers license. Additional requirements as set forth by program policy, and universityexpectations.
