Job description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal emergency hospital that is hiring for an Emergency Veterinarian. They provide comprehensive, high-quality medical and surgical care to a wide range of patients, including exotics and local wildlife, and work closely with the police department. The hospital operates as an overnight clinic, offering continued emergency care with a strong culture of collaboration and long-term team commitment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 5:30pm to 8:00am and operates 24 hours on weekends.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include emergency and critical care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, radiology, ultrasound, transfusion services, in-house pharmacy, and end-of-life care. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The practice was founded in 1990 by a local veterinarian and is dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical and surgical care. Equipment includes a unique blood bank, ultrasound, dental equipment and digital x-rays, and new oxygen cages. Facilities include a well-stocked pharmacy, surgery suite, digital x-ray, isolation units, intensive care units, oxygen support, diagnostic lab, and a canine and feline blood bank. Services offered include emergency and critical care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, radiology, ultrasound, transfusion, in-house pharmacy, and end-of-life care.

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
