Job description

Police Guard Services, INC (PGS), a Premier security solutions provider in the DMV is currently seeking Experienced and qualified individuals for ARMED/UNARMED SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS AND SECURITY OFFICERS positions in DC.

The ideal candidate must be a US citizen, have good communication skill, strong verbal command, ability to read and write, excellent observational skills and previous law enforcement credential a plus. This person should have the ability to remain calm under pressure while exhibiting patience and a superb attention to detail. The Individual must be vast with the DC codes and must be able to use his/her police power when necessary.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • US citizen and or Green card holder
  • Military/security/corrections/police officer experience a plus
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Ability to pass a drug screening test
  • Prior Employment verification
  • Clean driving and criminal record
  • Current Armed and Unarmed SPO License
  • Proof of training/certifications
  • Current range qualifications and proof of /MEB/First Aid/CPR Cards

DUTIES

Duties includes but not limited to:

Adhere to ALL post general orders, post orders and special orders.

  • Maintain security presence at all times by being visible.
  • Report all Incidents, accidents and or emergencies to the law enforcement agency, client’s and management
  • Sign in all guests where 100% I.D checks are required, Issue visitors /Parking passes to guest/visitors and ensure that only authorized persons enters the premises.
  • Maintain constant and hourly foot patrol/vehicle patrol
  • Inspect parking lots, ticket and tow all vehicles in violation.
  • Prepare daily and hourly activity reports
  • Deter possible crimes and adhere strictly to our company policies, client’s rules and state laws.
  • Direct traffic when necessary
  • Issuing Tenant infractions/barring notices.
  • Must be able to effect an arrest when necessary.
  • Check for all deficiencies and prepare maintenance reports
  • Attend and document all court proceedings as scheduled by the District Attorney.
