To thrive as a POL Fuels Specialist, you need knowledge of fuel systems operations, safety protocols, and handling hazardous materials, often supported by specialized training or military certification. Familiarity with fuel testing equipment, inventory management systems, and safety compliance tools is typically required. Attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for this role. These skills and qualifications ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate management of fuel supplies, which is vital for mission readiness and operational safety.
