Job description

Mountain View Hospital is looking to hire a Clinic Manager to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The manager is responsible for the operational performance of the assigned department and other clinic related services. Prepares staffing schedule to insure that all areas are adequately covered to meet patient volume needs. Works with the physicians to insure that patient care and diagnosis is done with extreme quality and care. Oversees the department operational budget to meet organizational goals. Coordinates and oversees the effective functioning of the department's information system patient billing. Assists with the oversight of various local, state, and organization departments on issues related to the continuous quality improvement process. Works with the staff to ensure professional development. Provides technical back up within the department to ensure effective workflow. Performs other duties in the facility as deemed necessary by administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinic Manager
1. Orients staff to the department/hospital policies and procedures including documentation of orientation and skills checklists.
2. Insures that adequate supplies are available for use by staff as needed to facilitate their jobs.
3. Works directly with the providers to facilitate clinic and hospital patient interaction in a professional and efficient manner.
4. Insures that all staff are operating to expectations and have the necessary tools at their disposal to accommodate their duties and responsibilities.
5. Oversees the effective functioning of the department's information system and connectivity to the hospital system.
6. Insures that charges are entered daily into the system for accurate and timely billing of patients.
7. Oversees department expenses versus budgeted allocations for successful operational performance.
8. Oversees and monitors all aspects of patient and staff safety.
9. Works with the technologists, providers, clerical and clinical staff on professional growth and development.
10. Is knowledgeable of the various local, state and federal regulations relating to the associated and applicable department(s) to insure compliance.
11. Provides coverage to the department(s) to assist with the efficient workflow of the department.
12. Oversees the programs developed for patient care and diagnosis to ensure high quality and consistent patient care as well as efficient and accurate output to participating providers.
13. Coordinates necessary inspections by appropriate organizations in accordance with state and federal regulations OR accrediting entity.
14. Serves as a resource to hospital staff and management on all Department related issues, including participation on various committees as assigned.
15. Insures that the department is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
16. Provides input to the Director of Specialty Services and/or the Vice President of Hospital Services on future equipment capital needs.
17. Serves as the contact point for patient, physician and or family complaints with the services provided by the department(s).
18. Stays current on new protocols, software changes, policies and procedures, regulations and quality assurance.
19. Behaves and dresses in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the position of Manager and as a representative of Mountain View Hospital.
20. Works with the marketing department of the hospital to actively provide face to face marketing of the capabilities of the department(s) to outlying physician's and their staff.
21. Performs other duties as needed or requested.
22. The employee is required to comply with all PCI standards and other company policies and procedures for payment card acceptance and security.

Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Relevant Equivalent.
Experience: Two to five years' experience required in Physician Office or Hospital Department. Previous supervisory/management experience.
Language/Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
Mathematical Skills: Good understanding of accounting for budgeting purposes.
Mental Capabilities: Must be able to concentrate and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Interpersonal: Capable of counseling, hiring and firing with appropriate finesse. Able to defuse volatile situations with staff, patients and physicians
Performance: Ability to move quickly in response to physician, co-worker and patient needs.
