Job description

Job Requirements

Starting Pay Rate: $17.50 hourly

Full Time 

Swing Shift available, must have flexible availability    

As a Steward at Point Place Casino, you'll maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash dishes, and support the culinary team by ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

 

What does a Steward do?                                      

        Effectively loads and operates the dish washing machines. Hand washes pots, pans and other items in accordance with the standards of sanitation and cleanliness.

        Thoroughly cleans dish machine by emptying tanks and filling tanks. Ensures that curtains are set up. Empties grease traps and barrels. Checks rinse agent and detergent and fills as necessary. Promptly notifies Supervisor of any irregularities with the machine.

        Thoroughly cleans and empties disposal drains regularly. 

        Keeps dish cleaning area and floor clean and free from debris.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Steward, you'll need:

    A High School Diploma/GED, required 

    The ability to operate a dishwashing machine and floor machines.

    The ability to speak and understand English; interact with guests and co-workers.

    To be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

    To accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.

    Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 31 - 40 pounds.
