The Deets:

The primary responsibility of a Hawkers Take-Out (HTO) person is to take a guest’s order via telephone in a manner that creates an experience encouraging the guest to become a repeat patron of Hawkers Asian Street Food. The HTO will be friendly and responsive and assist in providing an exceptional ordering experience for all our guests. The HTO person’s primary objective is to demonstrate excellence in guest service.

Requirements:
  • Takes food and drink orders over the phone and for walk-in to-go guests accurately and with a positive attitude.
  • Understands the online ordering process as well as third party delivery systems thoroughly to ensure order accuracy.
  • Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
  • Gathers and organizes HTO orders accurately and efficiently for guest pickup.
  • Delivers HTO orders to guests as they arrive for pickup.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with Server Assistants, Cooks, and other staff.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness and general maintenance of section during shift.
  • Takes payments in acceptable payment forms and ensures accurate tracking and security of guest information.
  • Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) System with accuracy and efficiency to take and complete orders.
  • Perform side work at the start, during and end of each shift as assigned.
  • Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification and understand and follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
