Job description

As our business continues to grow across the West Coast, we're looking for a motivated Operations Coordinator to support customers and carriers during Pacific Time business hours. Based in our Jacksonville office, this role is responsible for managing shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently from pickup through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage active shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve transportation issues while communicating timely updates to all parties.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time shipment information within internal systems.
  • Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure seamless freight execution.
  • Partner with the daytime operations team to ensure effective communication and smooth transitions between shifts.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipment activity, communications, and issue resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and transportation regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carrier partners through outstanding service.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of freight brokerage or transportation logistics experience required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn transportation management systems (TMS).

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM EST (supporting West Coast operations)
