Job description

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. These are employed positions with UNCHMG and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see ages 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system. Ideal Candidate:
  • Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • One to two year/s NP work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required
  • NC Licensure or ability to obtain
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
  • DOT Certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

Clinic Schedule:
  • 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
  • Plus, weekends & holidays
  • Flexible, Fulltime Schedule
