  • Provide and oversee wound care treatment for lower extremity wounds in collaboration with nursing and wound care teams
  • Monitor and manage chronic conditions affecting foot health, including diabetes-related complications and peripheral vascular disease
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated and holistic resident care
  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on foot care, preventive measures, proper footwear, and management of chronic conditions
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensure adherence to all infection control standards, as well as HIPAA and OSHA requirements
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to podiatry assistants or support staff as applicable
  • Assist with scheduling, documentation workflows, and coordination of podiatry services within the facility
  • Documentation must be completed within 72 hours of encounter completion.
  • Provide services to 80% of facility census.

  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and best practices in a clinical setting
  • Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
