As a Podiatry Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in facilitating the smooth operation of our clinic. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist podiatrists in examining and treating patients with foot, ankle, and lower leg disorders.
  • Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests and other necessary procedures.
  • Collect and document patients' medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during clinical procedures and treatments.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and maintain patient records in accordance with privacy regulations.
  • Educate patients on foot and ankle care and the use of corrective devices like orthotics and casts.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the clinical environment and equipment.
  • Handle administrative duties such as billing, coding, and insurance claims accurately and timely.
  • Maintain stock of medical supplies and reorder when necessary.
  • Operate X-ray, MRI, and other diagnostic equipment to assist the podiatrist with accurate diagnosis.
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols, ensuring effective sterilization of tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a medical assistant in a podiatry clinic or similar healthcare setting.
  • A certification in Medical Assisting or a relevant field strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, especially that related to podiatry.
  • Proficient in using medical software and systems for patient management.
