About Us

Ankle & Foot Surgery, part of Beyond Podiatry, is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Podiatrist to join our growing practice in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Our physicians are supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team dedicated to delivering exceptional foot and ankle care while providing an outstanding patient experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist who is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Position Summary

The Podiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions affecting patients of all ages. The physician will develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both conservative and surgical approaches while collaborating with primary care providers and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including review of medical history, physical examinations, imaging, and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing conservative therapies, orthotics, medications, wound care, injections, and surgical intervention when appropriate.
  • Perform office-based procedures and surgical treatment for foot and ankle conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage diabetic foot complications, ulcers, infections, neuropathy, and other high-risk foot conditions.
  • Prescribe custom orthotics, braces, prosthetics, and other assistive devices to improve mobility and function.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, preventative care, and post-operative recovery.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, vascular specialists, endocrinologists, wound care providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and maintain timely medical records in the electronic health record.
  • Supervise and collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Stay current with advances in podiatric medicine through continuing medical education and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited college of podiatric medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency (PMSR).
  • Board Qualified or Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and/or the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM), or board eligible if recently trained.
  • Active Illinois podiatric medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
  • Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Excellent clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience treating diabetic limb preservation and wound care patients.
  • Experience with forefoot and rearfoot surgical procedures.
  • Interest in practice growth and developing long-term referral relationships.
  • Experience working in a multi-site or private practice environment.
