Job description

About Disability Law Group
At Disability Law Group, we exist for one reason: to help people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives - and to do that work with skill, heart, and purpose.
We are a mission-driven law firm focused on Social Security Disability and Veterans' disability benefits. Our work demands more than legal knowledge; it requires empathy, persistence, and a genuine commitment to listening to people when they need it most.
Everything we do is guided by our core values - Listen, Invest, Vigor, Empathy, and Solutions (LIVES). These values shape how we show up for our clients and for one another. From the first phone call to the final resolution of a case, we treat each client's situation as unique and deserving of thoughtful, personalized advocacy.
Our team is made up of dedicated professionals across intake, applications and appeals, records, case management, attorneys, and leadership, all working collaboratively to deliver exceptional service nationwide.
We also believe in investing in our people. DLG offers competitive pay and benefits, meaningful opportunities for growth and advancement, and a workplace culture that values balance and recognition - including a paid day off for your birthday, team celebrations, and firm-wide KPIs. Our team regularly participates in community clinics, scholarship initiatives, and volunteer opportunities, giving everyone the chance to make an impact beyond their day-to-day work. We also offer a flexible hybrid work, and a family-first, model.
At Disability Law Group, your work matters - and so do you. Together, we are building a firm that delivers results, supports its people, and truly changes lives
Disability Law Group is seeking a full-time Multimedia Specialist to lead the firm's video, podcast, and multimedia content production. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, organized, analytical, and capable of managing video projects from planning through final delivery.
The primary focus of this position will be producing and editing long-form and short-form video content, managing testimonial video projects, supporting the ramp-up of Michigan Accident Attorneys content, and helping relaunch and maintain the firm's podcast. This person should have strong video editing skills, comfort with camera/audio equipment, the ability to organize production workflows, and enough creative judgment to create polished, brand-aligned content.
This is not primarily a social media trends role. This full-time role should be owned by someone who can manage the technical, analytical, and production side of multimedia content.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing
  • Own video production and editing for DLG and MAA content.
  • Edit testimonial videos, attorney videos, podcast clips, educational videos, event footage, and short-form social clips.
  • Prepare for upcoming video shoots, including the July 15 shoot and future production days.
  • Manage raw footage, organize video files, maintain content libraries, and create repeatable editing workflows.
  • Create polished video deliverables for website, social, email, internal communications, ads, and community campaigns.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with brand voice, quality expectations, and compliance-sensitive messaging.

Podcast Production
  • Support the relaunch and ongoing production of the firm's podcast.
  • Edit podcast audio and video episodes.
  • Create short-form clips from podcast episodes for social media and internal use.
  • Support podcast setup, recording, guest coordination, file organization, and post-production workflow.
  • Ensure audio quality, video consistency, captions, and final exports are clean and professional.

Testimonial & Storytelling Content
  • Help plan, organize, and edit client/community testimonial videos.
  • Identify strong soundbites and organize footage into clear, emotionally appropriate stories.
  • Coordinate with leadership and team members on testimonial needs, especially for MAA ramp-up.
  • Maintain a testimonial content tracker, including status, footage received, edit stage, approval status, and final usage.

Analytical & Strategic Support
  • Track performance of video and podcast content across platforms.
  • Review engagement, watch time, retention, click-throughs, and other relevant content performance metrics.
  • Recommend content improvements based on analytics and audience behavior.
  • Help determine which video formats, topics, and channels are performing best.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, content output, and performance trends.

Production Coordination
  • Coordinate filming schedules with attorneys, leadership, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare shot lists, production timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents.
  • Manage equipment setup/breakdown, lighting, audio, and camera needs.
  • Maintain inventory of video, podcast, and production equipment.
  • Support event filming as needed, but events should not be the primary focus of this role.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of video production and editing experience.
  • Strong experience editing long-form and short-form video.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
  • Experience with audio editing for podcast, interview, or long-form content.
  • Familiarity with cameras, lighting, microphones, and basic production setup.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple video projects at once.
  • Ability to analyze content performance and make recommendations based on data.
  • Ability to work with leadership, attorneys, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to attend in-person shoots/events in Metro Detroit.
  • Portfolio, demo reel, or sample work required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe Audition, After Effects, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Experience editing podcasts or interview-style content.
  • Experience producing testimonial, professional services, legal, healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based video content.
  • Experience organizing content libraries, production calendars, and asset management systems.
  • Comfort working in a professional, confidential, and compliance-sensitive environment.

Location: 755 W. Big Beaver Rd. Troy, MI 48034.
Must be available to regularly travel within the Metro Detroit area for event capture.
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 per year depending on experience.
AN ASSIGNMENT WILL BE PROVIDED WHILE IN CONSIDERATION FOR THE POSITION.
