About Hand to Hold
Hand to Hold is a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing early intervention mental health support before, during, and after a NICU stay, ensuring that all NICU families thrive.
Position Overview
Hand to Hold is seeking a motivated, creative, and collaborative Marketing & Communications Intern to support our marketing team and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, storytelling, digital marketing, and community engagement.
This internship is ideal for a college student interested in marketing, communications, public relations, media, nonprofit leadership, content creation, or event marketing. The intern will work closely with the Marketing Manager and collaborate with members of the development and programs teams on a variety of meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and engagement
  • Support development of marketing campaigns and awareness initiatives
  • Help draft content for blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates
  • Assist with story collection efforts featuring NICU families, volunteers, donors, and community partners
  • Support podcast, video, and multimedia content production as needed
  • Assist with event marketing for fundraising events, conferences, and community programs
  • Conduct research on industry trends, nonprofit communications, and audience engagement
  • Help organize marketing assets, photos, videos, and content calendars
  • Attend occasional meetings, events, recordings, or community activities as available
