What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

All student interns will be trained in one of these roles using Agile & Scrum project management methods to ensure adaptability and collaboration. This program is designed to provide real-world training in workforce and economic development, business growth, sustainability, and housing initiatives.

1. Workforce & Business Development

Assist in workforce training programs, helping businesses and individuals access employment resources.

Support small business growth by identifying grants, funding opportunities, and economic incentives.

Research workforce trends and help develop strategies to improve employment opportunities.

2. Community Outreach & Event Planning

Organize bi-weekly community marketplace events, recruiting small businesses to showcase products and services.

Assist in fundraising campaigns, ensuring a portion of vendor sales supports workforce and community programs.

Develop workshops and training programs to educate individuals on economic sustainability.

3. Grant Writing & Economic Development

Research and draft grant proposals to secure funding for workforce training and community programs.

Collaborate with government and corporate partners to expand job training initiatives.

Assist in structuring financial assistance programs for workers in employee-owned business models.

4. Sustainable Housing & Infrastructure Development

Support the development of affordable housing programs, including lease-to-own models.

Research sustainable building materials, including 3D printing and concrete moss for energy-efficient housing.

Assist in community planning initiatives, working to improve local infrastructure.

5. Digital Marketing & Communications

Manage social media platforms, creating digital content to promote workforce initiatives.

Develop newsletters and blog posts highlighting economic opportunities and training programs.

Assist in podcast and media production, interviewing industry professionals to provide workforce insights and release independent podcast and newsletter content.

6. Technology & AI Workforce Innovation
