Job description

At Range, we're building towards a world where anyone can live the financial life they imagine for themselves. If that sounds like a mission you want to be a part of, let's create it together.
We're building AI-powered wealth management. Investments, taxes, retirement, estate planning, all in one platform instead of scattered across different advisors and apps. We're backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovation, Scale Venture Partners, and more. We're growing fast while still small enough that everyone's work is visible and impactful.
About the role
Range is seeking a Video Editor to own the production of video content that grows Range's social audience - led by Instagram. This is an editor-first role: you'll spend most of your day in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Descript turning raw footage into content people actually watch. Speed and quality aren't a tradeoff here - we expect both. You'll take what's already working and level it up every single day, one video at a time.
This position is based in New York City. Employees hired for this role will work in office Monday-Friday, including from our NYC studio. If you are not currently located in this area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.
What you'll do with us
  • Edit fast without sacrificing quality: Turn around polished content daily across short-form (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), medium-form (3-5 min explainers), and long-form (YouTube, podcast episodes, webinars).
  • Own end-to-end production: Shoot, edit, and publish - from talking-head Reels to studio podcast episodes. You'll run our NYC studio setup (camera, lighting, audio) and make every speaker look and sound their best.
  • Level up what's working: We have a proven content engine and a clear strategy. Your job is execution - test new formats and hooks, study retention and performance data, iterate fast, and scale winning formats.
  • Move at AI speed: Use AI-assisted workflows (Claude Cowork, Premiere, and whatever's next) to produce faster without cutting corners. You should be the person who finds the new tool before we do.
  • Grow our social audience, led by Instagram: Make Instagram the channel where Range breaks through - content built for explosive growth - with LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok behind it. You'll partner with our content team on thumbnails, captions, and format choices.
  • Own your metrics: Drive measurable growth in followers, views, watch time, shares, and saves from video content.

What will set you apart
  • 5+ years editing video across short, medium, and long formats, with in-house experience at a company (not solely agency or freelance) - you understand what it means to own outcomes, not just deliverables.
  • Deep fluency in Premiere Pro and After Effects; experience with social media editing and AI-assisted editing workflows.
  • 2+ years of motion graphics animation experience.
  • 2+ years shooting video (camera, lighting, audio) - studio and run-and-gun.
  • A portfolio that proves you can make engaging, high-quality content fast.
  • You execute with little to no guidance - we don't have bandwidth for handholding.
  • You think like a marketer first, creative second - you care more about driving business results than building a portfolio.

Nice to haves
  • Podcast production experience (multi-cam, remote recording, studio workflows).
  • Comfortable on camera or coaching others to shine on camera.
  • Familiarity with wealth management, personal finance, or B2C content.
  • Deep curiosity about video trends and social algorithms - you know what's hitting before everyone else does.
  • Zero ego.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental and vision
  • 401k plan
  • Technology allowance
  • PTO
  • Top of Market Pay
  • Paid parental leave
  • In-person team & company events

Range is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. As a company, we are committed to designing products, building a culture, and supporting a team that reflects the diverse population we serve.
