Job description

Join Outcast

At Outcast, we don’t just follow the future—we help shape it. We are a strategic communications agency trusted by high-growth startups and established technology brands to define categories, influence markets, and build reputations that last.

With expertise across earned, owned, and paid media, our teams in the US and UK deliver integrated strategies that cut through complexity and drive meaningful business impact. As part of Marker Collective and the Next15 Group, we combine entrepreneurial agility with global reach.

We’re looking for a Contract Video Editor and Graphic Designer to support a confidential professional-services brand’s video and social content program.

About the Role

You will turn recorded, multi-camera podcast conversations into polished long-form episodes and a cohesive package of short-form video and graphic assets. The work is aimed at a professional audience, so strong editorial judgment, visual clarity, and consistent brand execution matter more than trend-chasing.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit full-length, multi-camera podcast episodes for YouTube and audio/video distribution

  • Produce 3 to 4 vertical video cutdowns per episode for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts

  • Design supporting social assets, including thumbnails, quote cards, carousels, title treatments, and simple motion graphics

  • Build consistent intros, outros, lower thirds, captions, end cards, and graphic systems across all assets

  • Select compelling cold opens and social moments that work independently while retaining context

  • Improve pacing through thoughtful camera switching, split screens, branded graphics, and clean transitions

  • Apply established brand standards across video and static design, while elevating the work through strong visual judgment

  • Incorporate feedback efficiently and maintain organized project files, exports, and versioning

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in both video editing and graphic design

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong interview or podcast editing, short-form social video, and branded design work

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, plus working proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable tools

  • Strong instincts for story, pacing, visual rhythm, typography, composition, and social-first design

  • Experience creating polished captions, lower thirds, thumbnails, quote cards, carousels, and lightweight motion graphics

  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for visual consistency across a multi-asset campaign

  • Comfortable working independently within established creative direction and incorporating consolidated feedback

  • Reliable communicator who can manage overlapping episode and asset deadlines

Engagement

This is a freelance, contract role with recurring project-based work. Please share a portfolio with relevant video and design samples, along with your hourly or per-episode rate.
