Requirements

Nurse Practitioner Duties

Occupational health treatment

Diagnoses and treats acute and episodic illnesses

Prescribes all necessary medications and treatments

Performs comprehensive physical examinations of patients

Develops and implement patient management policies and procedures

Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

Communicates with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Supports coordination of beryllium cases by facilitating education and coordinating medical monitoring appointments with offsite beryllium facilities

Interviews workers and managers, visits to worksites and facilities, and reviews employee job task analysis documents.

Supports the team with the delivery of timely reports and information

Manages the emergency preparedness program

Participates in meetings with PNNL management



Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:

Previous experience in Occupational Medicine, Family Practice, Urgent Care or ER (preferred)

Previous administrative experience preffered.

Ability to build rapport with patients

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Team oriented

WA Nurse Practitioner License (Required)

BLS/ ACLS Certification (Required)
