Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while providing technical sales support for industrial blower and pneumatic conveying equipment. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking replacement blowers, parts, repairs, system upgrades, and complete blower packages. The representative works closely with outside sales personnel, service technicians, engineering, and manufacturers to deliver accurate quotations and technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to understand industrial equipment applications across multiple industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding industrial blower equipment and vacuum systems
  • Prepare accurate quotations for new equipment, replacement units, and repair services
  • Recommend appropriate products based on customer applications, operating conditions, and performance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business.
  • Proactively contact customers regarding replacement equipment, preventative maintenance, and service opportunities.
  • Coordinate with outside sales representatives to support customer visits and project opportunities.
  • Interpret equipment specifications, drawings, and performance requirements.
  • Work closely with service technicians to ensure proper equipment selection and project execution.
  • Process customer orders and monitor projects through shipment and completion.
  • Maintain detailed customer records, quotations, and sales activities within the company CRM system.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers regarding pricing, lead times, product availability, warranty issues, and technical support.
  • Stay current on manufacturer product lines and emerging technologies.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting equipment and identifying replacement components.
  • Follow up on quotations to maximize conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in product training provided by manufacturers and industry organizations.
  • Support inventory planning for commonly stocked equipment and replacement parts.
  • Ensure all customer interactions reflect the company's commitment to exceptional service.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial sales, mechanical equipment sales, or technical customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand industrial equipment applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read technical specifications and equipment documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
