Job description

About the role
The Practice Manager role will have line management responsibility for approximately 20 project managers with full commercial and contractual responsibility for successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have an extensive track record working in pre-sales and delivering IT projects and programs.
The candidate will be accustomed to collaborating with professional services sales, service delivery and service development functions. Successful candidates will directly influence the development of project delivery capabilities within the Projects Practice to successfully execute against our customer's strategic objectives.

Annual salary range: $175K - $200K USD

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Responsibility for both the delivery of customer engagements and line management of around 10 project managers (regional travel essential)
  • Accountable for assurance, governance & customer satisfaction
  • Continuously maintaining and innovating the Practice capability in support of the business strategy
  • Proactively supporting growth with the development and delivery of standardized, competitive and market-relevant service offerings
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise into and out of the Practice; working collaboratively with stakeholders within the business and externally with customers and vendors
  • Operational and commercial management of the team to achieve financial targets, competitiveness and improved productivity & quality.
  • Drive a high-performance culture across the Practice; developing, retaining and attracting the best talent

What you have

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • You must have recent experience leading delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure projects (ideally on a workplace platform on behalf of a professional service organization) with responsibility for the commercial outcome.
  • You should have experience of applying appropriate governance and control in overseeing delivery of projects. You should have demonstrable evidence of developing individuals and teams and a passion to further enhance the capability of people.
  • You should be an innovative leader, constantly seeking better ways of working to enable improved outcomes for customers.
