The Client Company is seeking a Metrology & Calibration Specialist in Seattle, WA. As a calibration technician, you will calibrate and certify various Measurement and Test Equipment, and also support development of procedures for test equipment. Client has diverse metrology parameters such as precision dimensional and optical, precision mass, temperature-humidity, pressure, flow and force. You will tackle new and challenging problems every day. You will be supporting military and commercial programs such as 777X, 737MAX, 787, P-8, Tanker, and others.
This role will be responsible for providing products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects and speaking up.
Position Responsibilities:
• Supports and plans activities to conduct and document tests on measurement and test equipment
• Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities.
• Conducts routine tests, analyzes data and documents results
• Maintains test procedure revisions and updates
• Troubleshoots and resolves of laboratory and test-related problems
• Works under general direction
Required Skills:
• 3 or more years of calibration and certification work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Flow, Pressure, Linear Measurements, Temperature/Humidity, Electrical or other Physical Metrology processes
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with electrical calibration/certification
• Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
• Experience in the aerospace industry
• PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience
• Experience with Labview, C++, and Access
• Experience writing and configuring automated software and hardware tests
