HOST JOB SUMMARY

As a host on our team, you will utilize your strong interpersonal skills to assist the servers in creating a positive impression of the restaurant’s hospitality, excellent service, and high standards. You will greet guests upon arrival, thank them upon leaving, have professional & hospitable communication, and set the tone for a great experience. Hosts monitor the flow of the restaurant through managing seating, reservations, and wait lists. The fast-paced and high-energy environment will challenge you as you play an important role in the overall success of the restaurant and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Our Mission, Every Guest Leaves Happy, through teamwork, hospitality, proactive communication, and helping outside your role as needed.
  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile, eye contact, and genuine hospitality.
  • Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
  • Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests as appropriate.
  • Tend to special guest needs and requests with hospitality and a sense of urgency.
  • Observant to guests' needs throughout dining experience and communicate needs proactively to ensure they receive high quality service.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guests’ and coworkers’ needs.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and mannerisms.
  • Ensure guests are enjoying their experience and take action to correct any problems.
  • Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
  • Concludes the guest experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return.
  • Complete assigned sidework at the beginning, during, and at end of shift.
