Job description

Commercial Plumbing Mechanic

Location: DMV Region (VA / MD / DC)

Pay: Competitive hourly pay based on experience
Prevailing Wage Opportunities: $60–$75 per hour when available depending on project classification

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking Commercial Plumbing Mechanics to support our growing mechanical construction projects across the DMV region.

This role focuses on the installation of commercial plumbing systems on new construction and renovation projects.

Types of Projects

Our teams work on a variety of large commercial construction projects, including:

  • Multifamily and mixed-use developments

  • Universities and educational facilities

  • Healthcare and medical buildings

  • Office buildings and tenant fit-outs

  • Hospitality and hotel projects


Key Responsibilities
  • Install commercial plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, and storm piping

  • Perform rough-in, layout, and installation according to plumbing and construction drawings

  • Install fixtures, valves, and piping systems

  • Cut, thread, and assemble piping materials

  • Maintain job site safety standards and cleanliness

  • Work with Foremen and crews to meet project schedules
