Job description

Position Summary

Rabe Plumbing & Heating is seeking a skilled and reliable Jetting Technician to perform high-pressure water jetting and drain/sewer cleaning services for residential and commercial customers. This role is responsible for clearing blockages, cleaning sewer and drain lines, and diagnosing pipe issues using hydro-jetting equipment and camera inspection tools. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean, thorough work, communicates professionally with customers, and operates equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate high-pressure hydro-jetting equipment to clear grease, roots, scale, sludge, and debris from sewer and drain lines
  • Diagnose blockages and pipe conditions using sewer/drain camera inspection equipment
  • Locate line breaks, bellies, root intrusions, and other defects and document findings
  • Clear and clean residential and commercial drain lines, main sewer lines, and laterals
  • Set up and break down equipment safely at each job site, including managing water supply and containment
  • Perform routine maintenance jetting for commercial accounts (restaurants, grease lines, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly with customers about the problem found, work performed, and recommended follow-up
  • Complete accurate work orders, invoices, and inspection reports (including video/photo documentation)
  • Maintain jetting trailers/trucks, hoses, nozzles, and related equipment in clean, working condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and company protocols, including proper PPE use
  • Coordinate with plumbers and dispatch on repairs beyond the scope of cleaning

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate high-pressure jetting equipment (or willingness to be trained)
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional with customers
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and handle equipment in varied weather and conditions
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, or sewer/pipe work
  • Experience with sewer camera inspection and line locating
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial plumbing systems
  • CDL (or willingness to obtain, depending on vehicle/trailer requirements)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in tight or below-grade spaces, ability to lift 50lbs
  • Exposure to wastewater, outdoor weather, and job-site conditions
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and equipment operation
