Sewer & Drain Technician
Bob Smith Plumbing  |  Pompano Beach, FL
Camera inspections. Estimates. Liners. Descaling. One role, four skill sets.

Bob Smith Plumbing has served South Florida for more than four decades. We're expanding our sewer and drain division and building out a role that covers the full scope of the trade, not just one piece of it. Most technicians spend years picking up camera work, estimating, liner installation, and descaling separately. This role trains you in all four.
You'll be diagnosing sewer lines with camera equipment, building and presenting estimates directly to customers, and getting hands-on training in liner installs and descaling until you can run every part of this job solo.

What You'll Do

•      Run camera inspections and diagnose sewer line conditions.
•      Build and present sewer and drain estimates directly to customers.
•      Train hands-on in liner installation and descaling until you can run these jobs solo.
•      Perform drain cleaning and support hydro jetting and sewer line repair work.
•      Keep accurate job documentation and service reports.
•      Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked service vehicle.
•      Follow all company safety standards and Florida plumbing codes.
•      Communicate clearly and professionally with customers on-site.

What We're Looking For

•      1+ years of plumbing, drain, or related field experience. Sewer and drain experience is a plus, not a requirement.
•      Willingness to train and build skill across camera inspection, estimating, liner installation, and descaling.
•      High school diploma or GED.
•      Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•      Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and service software.
•      Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
•      Clear communicator who works well with customers and a team.

Physical Requirements

•      Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
•      Bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders to work in tight spaces.
•      Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
•      Work in attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops as needed.

What We Offer

•      A structured training track covering camera inspections, estimating, liner installation, and descaling.
•      A clear path to running the full scope of sewer and drain work independently.
•      Paid time off and paid holidays.
•      Ongoing technical training and room to advance.
